Warhammer NDA to be taken down…
Uncategorized August 7th, 2008The guild beta begun in Warhammer Online and peeps from my guild (who are, pretty much as me, tired with WoW) got in. I’ve decided to get back on my personal beta account and start playing the game with them again. That’s pretty much the main reason for the stagnation on this blog over past weeks (that and Mass Effect and Arms talents in WotLK sucking major ass, being so uninspiring that it’s not even fun to write about them).
After playing WoW for so long I guess I’m not alone when I say I’m tempted to play a new game, not because WoW is bad, but because I’m just fed with it. AoC failed to deliver, AFAIK they haven’t implemented the PvP system into the game yet, and it’s been what? Two months since release? It’s kind of bad for a game that advertised itself as a hardcore PvP game to not have a PvP system in it.
There is no class named ‘Warrior’ in WAR, so the name of this blog (as well as the logo) isn’t going to fit there well. I’m going to leave WarriorPWNS dusting as an archive, and move onto www.terhix.com (WIP) for Warhammer. The theme of the new blog is being worked on :P, should be up during the weekend. Mythic announced they are going to lift the NDA next week, so once the new blog starts working you can just add the new RSS to your readers and await a HUGE post about Warhammer by then, including screenshots, maybe some PvP action taken with fraps.
Ok ok, but as a warrior player, what class am I going to cover? Well, according to the NDA I can’t even tell you what class I’m playing in beta, but in a twisted way I’ll say that before I got into beta I was 60% sure that I’ll be playing a Black Orc after release, and now I’m 100% sure about that choice ;).
WAAAAAAAAGH!

Too bad you’re leaving WoW, I’m pretty excited about the changes. This place was always a good resource for insight and strategies and such. But oh well.
Hope ya has fun in Warhammer! Good luck!

I’m also hugely uninspired by the Arms tree in WotLK. Like yourself I’ve lost enthusiasm to blog, and even play in most parts. I’ve considered re-rolling but there is no other class that fully matches the play style that I want from the game.
PvE isn’t entirely my thing any more either.
I’m on the lookout for something knew - and I hope that WAR can deliver. I’m not part of the BETA but am looking forwards to reading about it from the perspective of another Warrior player.
In the meantime I’ll keep playing some good old Diablo 2, drinking with me mates and lifting hard.

Agreed with wotlk crap talents but they said they will be looking and changing that piece of shit so don’t give up hope yet! Also take a look at DK - very fun “warrior like” class, it misses MS but…

After 4 years of wow, playing 3 warriors and 2 of them to gladiator rank, i’m sick of WoW and i’ve quit. Warhammer is where i’m heading next.
I’m so sick of arena I can vomit, and WoW will never have any proper world PvP like warhammer is going to have.
The fact that the blizzard dev team said that rewards in like wintersgrasp were just going to be rewards to gear up people for arena was when I decided to quit. WoW will always be a PvE game at heart, and no matter what blizzard does, PvP will always be limited in WoW.
Realm pride died in WoW with the introduction of cross server bg’s. Nobody gives a fuck anymore and i’m just sick of it. WoW pvp is very noob/casual friendly.

I completly agree with WoW getting old and wanting to try something different.
I have been off WoW for months now and seriously - best thing that has happened to me lol. I have my life back!
I have just been playing the occasional DoTA game on WC3 which is enjoyable and gives me time to do other things.
Although I was curious in trying Lord Of the Rings: Online, so I downloaded the demo and played for about 5 days. I must say I was fairly impressed by it.
It was very easy to pick up as alot of it is similar to WoW - although I think this game was actually better and more enjoyable. Just a suggestion if you want to try something different
