Small redesign and upcomming changes
Uncategorized June 5th, 2008Update: changed the background to a bit darker one and easier for the eye, added some polish as well. If you see something odd, Ctrl+F5 should fix everything.
I wanted to do that before, but never had time. After weeks of slacking, here it is - a bit refreshed layout, woohoo. When I get some more time I’ll try to reorganize categories, maybe make a separate subpage for Guides and integrate Tools into the design.
But what’s really sitting in my head are forums for this site. The point is, I don’t know if it’s really needed - there are official forums, arenajunkies class forums, wowhead forums and what not - making forums just for the sake of having it (and having it dead) isn’t really something I’d like to do. So, let me know in comments if you guys think it’s a good or bad idea to have forums at WarriorPWNS.com, and how do you feel about the new colors and stuff.

A forum would be great IF you have the readership. You have those numbers, so you can best decide that.
I like the old color scheme better! Go back!!!!

just let us choose the template
I also liked the old one a *bit* better

I think I can do that, there should be a feature allowing different users to use different templates in wordpress, so I guess I can hack this and make it work on cookies without user accounts.

Nice timing, just read a great post about switching CSS styles today on Smashing Magazine. There’s a few links at the bottom to some WP plugins you might be interested in.
Btw, I also liked to old theme better, but this one’s pretty slick too

The new themplate sux. It’s too contrasting with the background. Not to mention, it’s too bright ;-P.

I sort of liked the old design more.
I don’t really think a forum is needed so much, seems like you might not get the traffic based on the amount of comments you get here. I could be wrong though, there might be alot of lurkers!

This new design is really goodlooking and so was the old one too. But I think this one was a little bit better.
I actually think that a forum here migth be good and i dont think that it will be any trolling in the forum and if someone wants help with something I think they can get a better answer here then on the forums cuse I think the people here dont flame everyone that doesnt know as mutch about the warrior class as they do.

If you put a forum here, I’d read and contribute to it.
Not sure what it is about the new layout.. there’s nothing wrong with it, juuust.. I just.. dunno, it doesn’t fit as well

You can now choose which template to use with a small form in the footer, so if you liked the old one more, there you go.
