Arena stats for top 5v5 teams
Arena, PvP March 14th, 2007Ming did awesome job again, with counting reposted how many people of each class play in topping 5v5 teams. I’m not going to paste it all detailed here, as there is quite some of it, so if you want to get a full read, head over to his site. Going from most popular to least popular class, it goes like this:
- Warrior (17%) - mostly arms
- Paladin (17%) - mostly holy
- Mage (14%) - mostly arcane or frost
- Priest (14%) - mostly holy
- Shaman (10%) - mostly elemental or resto
- Warlock (8%) - mostly affliction or demo
- Rogue (8%) - pretty much everything
- Hunter (7%) - mostly marksman
- Druid (5%) - mostly feral or resto
Warriors and paladins still on top. What changed drastically is the warlock position, imho we will be seeing more and more affliction specced warlocks as the arena teams progress with resilience gear - having dps that can totally ignore resilience is heavy. Druids at the bottom *sight*, those guys really need dispell magic ability or something.

Yeah give druids dispel that will make wow even MORE fucked up than it already is.

Currently it’s not really worth to take a druid healer instead of a priest. Cyclone really helped the class out in group pvp, but it’s still not enough utility imho.

ming didnt write any of this, he just took it from a thread in general forums.
Going to verify that and edit the post, thanks!

Would love to see the warrior numbers in 2v2 and 3v3 :p
Pretty sure the only reason we’re in most 5v5 teams is because there’s nowhere else for us to viably go (that and of course mortal strike). A warrior wanting to seriously pvp in arenas is 5v5 or bust (less you get a paladin who doesnt mind babysitting you through the smaller arenas)

There are numbers for 3v3 and 2v2 if you look at the (reposted) source

Awesome site. I’ve long been searching for a site that is for warriors what World of Ming and Roguespot are for rogues. Ish. Keep up the good work!
